Fred Schuler and his wife Mary opened the business in 1945 as a small repair shop and grew over the years
into one of the largest family owned and operated automotive dealerships in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Our father's business philosophy was simple, sell a quality vehicle and stand behind what you sell. This has been and still is our commitment to all of our customers.

Fred Schuler Inc./Automobile City is one of the few local dealerships to have an in house owned and operated, fully equipped collision repair and paint shop, with state of the art technology to repair any make or model vehicle. This allows us to repair your damaged automobile to before accident condition properly and efficiently.

Our committment to getting your vehicle back to you as soon as possible extends as well to our fully staffed service department where you will find our Nissan Factory Trained and ASE Certified technicians eager to complete your vehicle repairs promptly and correctly the first time. One of the many ways we achieve this is by having a fully stocked parts department and a warehouse full of tires to fit the vehicles we service.
